Here’s one of mine: El Supermercado!

Chiles y tomatillos.

Fiesta in the produce aisle.

Everything is colorful, even the shopping carts.

The market itself is an inspiration to cook…what shall we make – tamales, chile verde, pozole???

What is your favorite neighborhood market?

Hi Simona – It’s always decorated! I should have showed the meat department too.

Hi Lisa – I’m sorry there is nothing like it in Champaign. It’s just like going to Mexico, a vacation just down the street. I get to “practicar mi espanol tambien.”

Hi Terri – Welcome! Oh, I know what you mean, I cannot shop at those super stores, but all my friends and family love them…

What is my favorite market? Nothing here that is as spectacular as yours. Boy, do I miss California! I live in Conway, Arkansas and get to choose between Walmart Supercenter and Kroger (like Von’s). But I will drive 30 miles to Little Rock to shop at Fresh Market – a chain specialty food store that just recently opened there.

What a bounty! That market is great. Boo hoo, wish I had that in my neck of the country.

Nice. I am intrigued by the decorations hanging from the ceiling.
