Congratulations David & Molly!
Molly and I met during her freshman year in college when she joined Alpha Phi Sorority, where I was the Chapter Advisor. After her graduation she lived in Ireland for a year, when she returned to Long Beach, she joined our Advisory Board. Together we advised, and guided, and brain-stormed…we had such fun bouncing ideas off each other! And although I am almost a quarter-century older than her, we became friends, in addition to being “sisters.” This past Saturday, it was my absolute pleasure, honor and delight to attend Molly & Dave’s wedding!
Here I share photos from Molly and Dave’s Newport Beach wedding. Molly’s flair, her attention to detail, and her clean-crisp style, with accents of daffodils and sand dollars made for an original, breathtaking, and personalized reception at the lovely home of Dave’s parents.

Nowruz
Persian New Year
Also celebrated this day, in the home of Dave’s parents Doris and Ferydoun, is Nowruz. The Persian New Year is welcomed with a traditional symbolic Haft Sīn table which includes seven specific items starting with the letter ‘S’ or Sīn in the Persian alphabet.

Molly and Dave’s Wedding, The First Day of Spring, The Persian New Year
Could they have chosen a more perfect day to begin their life together?
I join Molly and David’s family and friends in wishing them a lifetime of joy and happiness together.
May each day be even more beautiful than your wedding day…
Lori, what a beautiful wedding! I loved all the pictures. Every detail simply looked gorgeous! My husband and I had a Persian Ceremony last year on Norouz too! So not only do we celebrate the new year but also our anniversary on Norouz. Thank you for sharing your pictures!
OH, I am so glad you stopped by! I thought of you and was going to email you to have a look! Happy Anniversary!

I love so many of the details of the wedding. The bouquets are gorgeous…Love the blankets on the back of chairs. I see a lot of wedding in the California area have this “sweet bites” area. I kind of wish I had seen the idea sooner — I would have incorporated it in my wedding in Canada. I also really like the ruffles on the bottom of Molly’s dress — really pretty.
All of your pictures looks beautiful, Lori Lynn — they’re luck to have a guest that is taking such nice photos of the details.
I’ve been admiring all of the personal touches at this wedding. Gorgeous! Only a wedding in Southern California can look this great at this time of the year.
What an amazing post/wedding! everything looks amazing, I LOVE weddings. Thank you for sharing all with us Lori Lynn, I felt like I was there.
Best Wishes to the lovely bride and groom!
You captured the highlights of this beautiful wedding perfectly LL. It’s refreshing to see a wedding done so creatively and personal and not taking place in a rented banquet hall somewhere. Her dress and that cake, gorgeous!
What a beautiful and scrumptious way to start a new life. May it only get better.
It looks like a beautiful wedding! They are the best! Our son just got married Saturday, the 20th and we had 2″ of snow so events were all indoors and quite different than this. Love that garden reception!
i wish i could attend more l.a. area weddings, but everyone i know is pretty much hitched!
This is such a beautiful union! All your pictures are such a pleasure to look at!
Lori what a beautiful tribute to this couple. They will love reading this and looking at your wonderful photos! I love the Back Bay and have spent many hours perched on the cliffs enjoying the sounds of nature. 🙂 I can’t wait to share with you a project my husband has been working on, it’s the first Green Building in L.B., it has living walls and sloped angles and a roof garden to boot. Knowing how much you love nature I think you will really appreciate it 🙂
What an elegant wedding. Everything looked perfect, the chairs, the scenery, the flowers and the members of the party, of course. I think the menu was outstanding and must have been a hit. Thank you for sharing such a joyful event.
Lori. You were absolutely right. That wedding had Molly’s personal touch written all over it…it was beautiful. Your pictures were just as beautiful (even if you used auto). Thank you for sharing.
Hi Rach! I’m so excited to see your comment! It was so Molly, so fabulous!

HI Lori- It’s Stephanie Root! How are you? I love your blog! So happy for Molly and it looks to have been a wonderful day! All the best to you!
Hi Steph – I think about you often, especially in September! I am so happy to hear from you.
Molly’s wedding was perfect.
Let’s catch up soon!

Lori,
Your photos of the wedding are so exquisite. Thank you for taking them. It was nice to see what I failed to get pictures of. Usually I take hundreds of pictures of the family weddings but I was so busy hostessing and dancing that I didn’t get very many. Luckily, other family members did. Molly had planned every detail so well that all my pre-wedding jitters were for naught. It was a beautiful affair. Finally all seven children are married. No more weddings! What a wonderful way to finish. I am so glad you shared the evening with us.
Dear Doris – Your home was the perfect venue for the wedding, so lovely AND personal. The event could not have been more charming.
Thank you for including me! And congratulations to you and Ferydoun too!
Lori Lynn
What a lovely and elegant wedding without being over the top. The bride’s dress is beautiful on her, the menu is fantastic and a total joy to be able to have it on such a significant time in a Persian family. Thanks for sharing these really great pictures.
I lived on Balboa Island years ago when I first moved to the US and so this wedding and the pics brought back some fond memories; lovely weddings, thanks for sharing the pictures!
