THIS IS HOW WE VEGAS
Yes, we have an ongoing LOVE AFFAIR with French Cuisine. And Italian, and Spanish, and California and so on and so on. We also have a LOVE AFFAIR with Vegas. THE Foodie Paradise where gorgeous restaurants are designed as if money-were-no-object, with the highest concentration of World-Class chefs, and our favorite alfresco-dining galore. Yes, we love to play blackjack (thanks Dr. Thorp), take long walks along the strip early in the morning, spend time at the spa and pools, and take in the fabulous shows – but truth be told, it’s the food that is our main attraction. THIS is how we Vegas, last weekend:
Bardot Brasserie by Michael Mina – Aria
Lavo Italian Restaurant – The Palazzo
Lago by Julian Serrano – The Bellagio
Giada by Giada De Laurentiis – The Cromwell
Bardot Brasserie by Michael Mina – Aria
“Years of French cuisine comes alive in Michael Mina’s latest work, a tribute to Parisian Brasserie fare. An intriguingly delicious place to sip a cocktail and indulge in French cuisine. The décor is inspired by early film noir, Bardot’s mix of low lighting and dramatic shadows sets the mood for a little bit of playful trouble.”

Trouble in Paradise: For $30 a truly bottomless mimosa. Bottomless means try them all. This is how we Vegas, yep.
Favorite Dish at LAVO:
“The world’s most photographed meatball.”
Lago by Julian Serrano – The Bellagio
“Tour the bolder side of Italy with innovative small plates at Lago by Julian Serrano. James Beard Award-winning chef Julian Serrano sets the evening in motion with his stunning interpretation of Italian tapas. Dine fountain-side, overlooking the dancing famous Fountains of Bellagio.”
- Clos de l’Oratoire des Papes Blanc
The harmonious blend of White Grenache 30%, Clairette 30%, Roussane 30%, and Bourboulenc 10% – offers a lively and crisp wine with floral notes and aromas of juicy pear, white peach and a hint of honey. It is ripe and fat on the mid-palate with good balance of acidity and a long, fresh and mineral finish.

Entertainment – Old School Vegas
We thoroughly enjoyed going back in time to experience Vegas entertainment of yesteryear. FRANK The Man. The Music. a grand theatrical production honoring the life and music of the most famous entertainer of all time, Frank Sinatra. Conceptualized and brought to life by an all-star creative team, FRANK The Man. The Music. has been called the most authentic reenactment of a Frank Sinatra concert ever performed on the live stage at The Palazzo Theatre. (from The Venetian here).

UPDATE:
Thanks Giada!
Thanks, Lori, I have been waiting for this. I look forward to re-visiting LV as a tourist for the 5-weeks of the holidays. This is great.
Oh dear!! Suddenly I realize exactly how long I have not been to Vegas 🙂 !! Knew about all the new buildings which had arisen out of the sand but the last time I visited this kind of food opulence surely was not around! Love making a red wine risotto myself . . .
It all looks delicious!!!
